While maybe it is possible but maybe it is not possible to fix it. The fundamental question you need to answer is whether it is worth of spending time on it. Simply leave computers permanently running. That is why turning off S1 – S4 state is a fix as I have said above.

Precisely the USB bus and drivers timing mismatch during the resume. The resume from hibernation is the cause. **We do have 2 or 3 users that are not experiencing this issue same software. Xerox/Visioneer scanner driver, OneTouch software, & PaperPort 12.1 are being used regarding the scanners. *Same software installed as was on the XP machines.

I am down to testing the driver and software with a fresh copy of Windows 7 圆4 this afternoon to see about any conflicts.Īnyone experience any kind of issues like this before? I have been in contact with Xerox/Visioneer support for the last couple of weeks and tried using their software and driver removal tools. I have used the current drivers and OneTouch software. They are almost all running different models of lenovo desktops. The computers were imaged with a Sysprep. The scanners were not having this issue on Windows XP with the same computers (we do have a few new lenovo desktops that also have the same issue). They are generally using the computers and it will scan a few documents and then lose connection. Users don't put the computers in hibernation, but it's a way I've found the replicate the issue. But pressing any of the three buttons on the scanner doesn't do anything. I can right click on OneTouch, Show Hardware, and it shows the hardware info and I can turn the lamps on or off. When i turn on the desktop it goes back to the default '2' for a moment, but changes back to '0' before the logon screen. When testing with a 272 and putting the desktop into hibernation the 272 shows '0' on the scanner. The scanners lose connection with the desktops and the only way to regain connection is to turn off the scanners, change usb port, or reboot the computer. We have about 8 users that are using Xerox Visioneer scanners models 3125, 272, 262i.
